When You Were Mine is a choiceless visual novel that follows the brief reunion of a pair of ex-lovers after five years have passed. It is a short exploration of the dependency love can turn into when fueled by uncertainty and loneliness.
This visual novel was developed for the 2025 Love + Attraction Jam hosted by Nikko. The story is a finished product and it will not receive any content updates.
All backgrounds and sound effects are copyright free assets available in Pixabay and Pexels.
Mac version is currently untested.

This was a nice short story. I liked the prose, and it was pretty cute and dramatic
but also I think there's an error in the mac build because it just says cannot find file 'gui./main menu end.png
